Paradisi doesn't smell like fruit — it smells like the room where fruit is grown. Euan McCall has built a greenhouse in a bottle: condensation on cold glass, wet foliage, and the mineral weight of soil that hasn't dried out since Tuesday. The opening is tart and acidic — grapefruit and rhubarb with a watery cucumber shimmer that reads genuinely strange, as if the juice was squeezed before the fruit was ripe. Pink pepper threads through the heart with a dry botanical heat, keeping the composition from sliding into anything sweet or easy. The base is the coup: mushroom and soil tincture, dense and literal, like hands pressed into potting mix. Patchouli operates beneath the surface without declaring itself. This is a nature study, not a perfume ad — and it is deeply, specifically alive.
